Kontentsu Montrose

I had lunch here at Kontentsu for some more Japanese Ramen and Dishes for earlier today! They've added more menu, serving with freshly prepared ingredients with the quality you can see and taste! I ordered Spicy Miso Black Garlic Ramen with a Shrimp Albacore roll and a side of Karaage fried chicken. All of the dishes were tasted, fresh sushi rolls, crunchy fried chicken dipping in mayo sauce and the Ramen had a perfect broth with lots of ingredients which satisfied my Ramen cravings! They got great balcony seating area in the back which also gives you great atmosphere, fresh air since it's surrounded by some mountains and the music that they playing in the background also added a great dining experience! Will comeback for more and if anyone of you never tried the Japanese food here, I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY SHOULD! Located at Montrose Shopping Park in Northern Part of Glendale.

This is an exceptionally cozy little place for some great ramen. The restaurant is super pretty and the staff is great. I got the Spicy Tonkotsu ramen and highly recommend it.

Great ramen spot! Very friendly, and upbeat staff. We ordered to go…was not sure how the ramen experience would translate via to go. But they packaged the broth separately from the rest. Mix at home, and boom! It was great! We got their signature ramen. Two bowls it was about 40 bucks including a take out tip of 18%. The restaurant was nice, and well attended when I grabbed our order for take out. The timing provided was accurate. The order was fresh and ready! One note, it is on the second floor of the structure just south of the main Honolulu boardwalk. Easy to get to, just remember it’s on floor two! Plenty of street parking around, and some structure parking as well! We will be back! Thanks! Sept 2023: we love this spot. And the team is so nice, and friendly. They make you feel like family, even when you’re just doing take out!! Jan 2025: great to eat inside too. They have a cool outdoor wrap around patio. And very tasty non-ramen items. We really liked their salmon rolls. Gyoza was great too. SoPasadena roll is solid. Chicken Don is great value and tasty. Highly reco; we go often!

The ramen here is just amazing, I can’t get enough! Every one of them is a hit. I’ve tried some of their non-ramen menu items and they’re pretty good, no complaints, but their ramen is the way to go. The restaurant is not huge so it can get full easily. There is indoor and outdoor seating but I’ve only ever sat indoors. The service has always been good from my experience. Parking is tight in the immediate lot but there is a good amount of space around the area.

One of the Most Unique and Flavorful Truffle Ramen in LA! All I can say is that I am extremely impressed by this place, I went there not expecting much but man was it BUSTLING for a Sunday near closing but worth the wait. Ordered the Tonkotsu Black Ramen and it was the star of the show, deep complex flavors in the broth paired perfectly with thin starchy noodles and large chunks of pork that were charred to perfection. Added my own spice to liven it up even more and I’ve never had such a good bowl of ramen. Just WOW. Also ordered the Crispy Spicy Tuna for an appetizer and it was also really good, large chunks of deepfried rice with a cool and tangy high quality tuna blend. Please come here and bring your friends! Its not a very large spot but its a very modern and trendy atmosphere with jazz playing.

This place was amazing and I am embarrassed to say that in all the time it has been there I had never been there until just this past week. Their sharables are great! We had the brussel sprouts and the broccoli and cauliflower hash... These may make even the brussel sprout and broccoli haters love these veggies! I got another sharable for my main, it was their Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. It is all I can think about even days later. I am constantly plotting for when I can return! The atmosphere is very comfortable and beautiful. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. She answered any questions I had with such grace and helpfulness. She was there just enough throughout my time there. We never had to ask for drink refills because they were on top of that. I really appreciate that! The price of lunch was reasonable for the amount of food we ate. Plus, my friend had enough left of her lunch to have another meal. My overall experience was fabulous! I walked away very satisfied and I can hardly wait to go back!

Awesome service, super friendly staff, and they were very open and forthcoming as well! Good with allergen restrictions, and the chef is very knowledgeable, they were able to make modifications to suit dietary needs fairly easily, so all of us had a really great time. The restaurant was moderately noisy at the time our party went, but not to an unacceptable amount. Overall we had a great time, and would go again!

Kontentsu Montrose is a gem! The black garlic ramen is absolutely the standout…rich, silky broth with deep umami flavor and that amazing roasted garlic aroma that gives every bite a smoky depth. The noodles are perfectly chewy, and the toppings feel super fresh and balanced. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and consistent quality every time. Easily one of the best ramen spots in the NELA / Glendale area.
